Today, nothing remains of this château except a rather fine classic doorway and a few ruins.
During the 17th century, the Lord of Lassay, growing tired of his austere castle in the town, had built a lovely manor house to be used purely for his pleasure and relaxation.
What remains stands in the middle of a field; the only regular visitors now being the cattle from Mr Bricard's farm.
You can visit these ruins by walking the "Three Châteaux" path, starting from the lake in Lassay.
